Books the database won't let go wrong

Every sale, payment and bank line lands in one double-entry ledger. Postgres rejects an entry that doesn't balance, a change to a posted line and a posting into a closed month, whoever or whatever tries.

  • Starter chart on day one
  • Bank matching
  • Multi-currency
  • 19 checks before close
  • 129 accounts in the Malaysian starter chart
  • Corrections are reversals; posted lines never change
  • An append-only log of postings, closes and chart changes

Bank

Import the statement, keep the matches

Bring in CSV, OFX, Excel, MT940 or a PDF statement, with presets for thirteen Malaysian bank exports. Each line is scored against your entries. Accept every suggestion in one click, or work the uncertain ones line by line.

  • Exact amount and date score highest, then the same day, then within three days
  • Your rules first, then learned ones, then defaults

Integrity

Rules that hold below the app

Most software checks the rules on the screen. Cynco checks them again inside the database, so they hold for the dashboard, the API and the agent alike.

  • A posted entry that doesn't balance is rejected
  • Closed periods refuse new entries
