Corrections, done by the book

Issued invoices are now final, and changing one walks you through the credit or debit note it needs. Recurring entries pause instead of failing, and tax settings know whether you qualify for SME rates.

  • Invoicing

Correcting an invoice, the way your auditor expects

Once an invoice is issued, what it bills is locked. Choose Edit and change what you need, and Cynco shows you one review screen first: the credit or debit note it will issue, the tax effect, what your customer owes before and after, and any e-invoice follow-up. Confirm, and the notes are issued for you. Memo, terms and due date stay editable as before, and drafts work exactly as they did.

  • Books

Recurring entries that look after themselves

A recurring journal entry that can no longer post now pauses itself instead of failing quietly every run. Paused entries are listed so you can see why, fix the cause and resume them, and an entry that missed a run is dated on the occurrence it missed rather than the day it caught up.

  • Tax and compliance

SME tax rates, only when you qualify

Record whether your company is a micro, small or medium company in tax settings. The SME corporate tax rates now apply only once that status is confirmed, and small value assets are capped in line with Public Ruling 4/2026.

Improvements

  • Payments

When you record a payment by hand, you now choose the bank account it was paid into, and it is booked there.

  • Invoicing

The invoice list has a new filter menu. Type to narrow it down, and pick a display currency the same way.

  • Books

Journal entries that need approval can be submitted, approved or cancelled from the entry itself.

  • Workspace

Archived items now appear on the Items page, and you can restore them there, through the API or from the MCP server.

  • Reports

Tax returns follow your company's country, rather than assuming Malaysia.

  • Reports

Regenerate on the trial balance is now Save snapshot, which says what it does.

Fixes

  • Books

A period can no longer be closed while an earlier one is still open.

  • Payments

Exchange gains and losses on an invoice paid in several parts are measured from what was actually posted.

  • Invoicing

The invoice form refuses a tax rate that is not a number, instead of saving it.

  • Invoicing

Quotations and agreements are numbered in your company's year, and this month and this year follow your calendar.

  • Books

Goods received are dated on your company's calendar, not the server's.

  • Workspace

Sidebar items no longer show two tooltips at once, and icons in dropdowns stay in line with their label.

  • Workspace

Closing the filter editor returns keyboard focus to Filter.
